Bothell
Pet
Hospital
is proud to be a part of
Washington
State
University
's preceptor program for fourth year veterinary students. We feel honored to participate, as we are one of only five preceptor clinics in the
Puget Sound
area.
Throughout the academic year, we host a number of veterinary students for a four week period. While at our clinic, the student participates in all aspects of private clinical practice. This is a wonderful opportunity for the student to experience the "real world" of veterinary medicine.

The student works closely with our veterinarians. He/she examines patients, formulates plans for diagnostic testing, evaluates results and recommends treatment. All ideas are discussed and used as an opportunity to hone clinical skills. Any procedures or treatments are approved by a

veterinarian and performed only under direct supervision.
By involving the students in this way, we are taking an active role in the advancement of veterinary medicine. We are committed to quality veterinary care and hope to continue to be a part of this important program helping to teach future veterinarians.
